Giza Plains

"'A vast savannah spreading to the south of the Royal City of Rabanastre, the environs of which vary drastically between dry and rainy seasons. Large dark crystals lie scattered here and there across the savannah. During the dry, they absorb the suns radiance and glow with an auric brilliance. A village of nomadic herders is located near the middle of the grasslands. During the rains, the villagers relocate to the mountains. While the reside in the grasslands, the menfolk rarely return from their hurding, leaving the women and children to their own devices in the village. These nomads know the art of capturing the energy of the dark crystals in chunks of magicite, called sunstone, which they then bring to market to sell. The animals by which they make their living are primarely of cockatrice stock."

A dry savannah, where a nomadic tribe lives here. Giza Plains is the only location in Ivalice that changes appearance according to weather.

The Giza Plains are located just to the south of Rabanastre, in the Dalmasca region. Just further south are the Ozmone Plains, while access to the Westersand and Estersand can be found too.

While it's dry, most of the plains are exposed, and weaker monsters come out. Traversing the plains is easier during the dry periods because of this.

The Nomads will come down from the mountains, and set up camp while it's dry. Here, they raise Cockatrice and make Sunstones.

The Darkstones can be seen over the plains when its dry. These giant stones absorb sunlight, which can then be drawn out to make Sunstones.

While it's wet, most of the plains are covered in water, and stronger monsters come out, especially during heavy rain and thunderstorms (Storm Elementals and Mardu Entites respectively). Navigating the plains during the wet period can be tough at first.

New areas open up though, since bridges can be built of driftwood for easy access.

Sasume, Icisia and Valia came riding into the Giza Plains.

After riding for a while and not having any trouble with monsters, they come upon a nomad village. They stop for supplies and a quick break, and the nomads explain to them to be weary when the rains come to the Giza, for it brings very dangerous enemies about. They then point the group to the south where they must go to reach the Ozmone Plain.

"Thanks!" she says she helps Sasume up onto the chocobo and Valia mounts hers. She then walks alongside the two chocobos as they walk out of the village and head south.

Sasume turned to Icisia, "..So where are you going again?" he asked.

She looks up to Sasume as he's riding on the chocobo. "Well, I was going to go to Archades, but since I heard about that Judge that's after us, we'd be better off going south first. We need to reach Mt. Bur-Omisace to talk to the Gran Kiltias. He'll know how to destroy Nethicite and how to reach the weapon inside the Stilshrine of Miriam."

She shifts her sword and looks ahead as they walks south. "So.. yeah.. Then I will go to Archades."

"By 'I', you mean 'we' right?" Sasume said. "Don't worry! We can handle that judge! What he gonna do, beat us with his gavel?" Sasume broke into laugher, "C'mon now! Don't tell me you're scared! We can pwn that judge!"

"Hmm? By I so far I mean me by myself. I don't want you guys to get hurt or arrested because of my stupidity for going to Archades. Plus, that Judge is pretty strong. All of the judges are strong. They lead the armies. She's not one to just mess around with." she looks ahead as she thinks about what may happen if they go to Archades when they aren't ready. "hmm.."

"You're not going alone, I'm coming whether you like it or not!" Sasume shouted, "END OF DISCUSSION!!" He smiled at Icisia.

She leans away a little after he yelled at her. "Wow, ok I didn't expect that. Especially how we first sorta met in Rabanastre." She laughs and continues walking. "Almost to the Ozmone Plains. We'll stop in Jahara to rest."

Sasume looked at Icisia, "What do you mean by 'Especially how we first sorta met in Rabanastre'?" He asked.

"Hmm.. I'm not sure. We kinda met through getting into trouble. I remember seeing you though once before that all happened, and you shot me the meanest of glares." she laughs.

"Well..Sorry....I just don't confide in people too much..The people I trust..all turned their back on me. I'm not fond of strangers..."

She is silently riding her Chocobo looking out over the plains.

Maybe I can talk to Supinelu and see how his hunts have been going..And see if there has been any mysterious happenings in the Zertinan Caverns..

She looks over at her sister and Sasume.

If the Garif people need my help with the Zertinan Caverns or just around the Ozmone Plains, I will stay and help. Then I will talk to Chief Uball-Ka and see if he knows anything about the sword and the Nethicite.

Vash was starting to think this chase would get bothersome. She got off her chocobo and walked past the girl on the chocobo with her hood down. Her hand still in the pouch.
Vash turned away heading towards a place she could buy something to eat paying for some supplies she would need.
Takeing time to feed the pup and herself befor comeing out.
When she walks back she walks probly closer then she should have to Valias chocobo yawning as the pup starts whimpersing again.

She would look down curiously at the boy..or girl...no boy..She thought trying to figure out what gender this person could be.

Thinking to herself~ I wonder why this person ended up in the same place as us..Has he been following us?

Sasume noticed the boy..or was it girl..? Anyway, he noticed the boy, and jumped off the chocobo. He faced the boy and drew Zashi Sakura, "What are you doing here!? and why were you following us!?" He asked.

When Sasume jumped off of his chocobo, Rakida grabbed its reins to keep it from running off. Her attention then is also turned to the boy..girl..boy.

"Hmm? Who are you?"

Vash looked at the weapon then at Sasume
"abit hostile aren't we."
Her voice again betraying her. She gripped the handle of her blade under her cloak just incase.
She looked at Icisia still keeping sasume within her field of vision
"I would rather talk on friendlier grounds." She pointed to sasume with her free hand
" example"

" I am Vash" She said plainly not giving her whole name this time.
" I wish to know some things"

"For you to know things, we must know some too." she said as she held onto the reins of the chocobo. "A name isn't enough. Why have you been following us? Yes, we noticed someone following us for some time. My sister and I have that.. gift."

"gift?" Vash was starting to think this was a bad idea but decided it was to late anyway.
"I only wish to know why the guards where after you. That is why"
She looked at her with a serious expression. tucking her free hand into the pouch soothing the pups wimpers so it falls back asleep.

Sasume growled, "We don't need to tell you anything really..Its our buisness why the guards were after us.." He said as he gripped his blade.

Vash looked at sasume with a brow raised. Noticeing his grip on his blade.
"No you don't. That is true." She smiled nervously "but that does not mean I can't try and ask."

Vash took a small step back placeing her feet in a defensive stance. Just in case things turned wrongly. She really didn't like the way the questioning was going. And though her curiousity just kept peeking, She did not want to risk anything.

Sasume was still pointing his blade at him, "...I suggest you run along, boy..."

Vash's brow forrowed as she stood her ground. She watched the three but did not speak.

Sasume stared at the boy, as if he was waiting for something to happen.
