Dalmasca Estersand

The Dalmasca Estersand is located just to the east of the Royal City of Rabanastre, in the Dalmasca region. Unlike the Dalmasca Westersand, the area mostly consists of wide open desert. Continue east to reach the Nalbina Fortress and the entrance to the Barheim Passage, or north to the Mosphoran Highwaste.

Bank Village

A village on the banks of the River Nebra, with each part located on either side. Crossing the river is possible by ferry. Recently, all the men were kidnapped by Cactites, but were rescued by Vaan when he found their missing family member.

The Barheim Key, allowing entry back into the Barheim Passage can be received after an errand-running sidequest to restore a traveller to health. Other than fishing, there isn't much else to be done here.

As her chocobo runs through the vast desert of the Estersand, she notices several monsters that could get her some money. She stops the chocobo and leaves it hiding behind a rock as she hops off and draws her sword.

Three wolves.. This should be a breeze.

The wolves catch sight her Icisia and charge towards her, baring their fangs and growling as they run towards her. She just stands there pointing her blade towards them. When they approach, one jumps up into the air to attack towards her face. In an instant she swings her blade in front of her face, cutting the wolf down. The second and third each charge from opposite sides, so she jumps into the air and flips backward. Upon landing she slashes the second wolf cutting it down, leaving only the third. It charges towards her and she simply steps to the side and cuts this one down also.

After all three had been cut down she gathers the pelts and loads them onto the back of her chocobo.

I knew that would be easy..

"AHHHH!!!" Sasume screamed as he was barley holding to an uncontrollable chocobo. "CALM DOWN, YA STUPID BIRD!!" Sasume shouted, the chocobo charged passed the girl from earlier, with Sasume holding onto to its neck. "AHH! DAMN BIRD!!!"

Uhhh..

In shock, she watches the boy go by on a chocobo screaming.

Well, better help him!

She hops on her chocobo and charges after him. After running a few hundred yards she gets right beside the other chocobo. She reaches her hand towards the boy to grab him.

Grab on! She yells.

Sasume reaches for the girl's hand, but his other loosens off the Chocobo neck, "WHAAA!!" he goes tumbling into the sand. "..." the chocobo keeps runs off into the horizon.

WHOA!

She halts her chocobo and jumps off and runs towards the boy. When she reaches him, she kneels down to check on him.

Are you alright? I'm sorry I didn't catch you.. My reactions seem slower today than usual for a Valios..

Sasume took his face out of the sand, and stood up. He dusted him self off. "I'm fine.." he said and narrowed his eyes.

I could give you a ride back to Rabanastre if you like, or to Nalbina.. where I'm going. It's the least I could do for not catching you. She slaps her forehead, still mad about having slow reactions.

"It wasn't your fault..I should've controlled that stupid bird better." He said. "And I'll walk to Rabanastre." He said and started walking.

Hm? Ok, just be careful of the monsters on the way. They're nothing too mean, but they travel in packs. I'd hate to see anything happen to a kid.

She grabs the reins to her chocobo and leads it forward a few feet.

Just be careful, mmk?

With that, she hops on her chocobo and continues towards Nalbina Fortress.

"I will.." He said and narrowed his eyes. He contiuned walking, he stopped and looked at the sky for a moment.

Sasume thought for a while, "I'll head to that Nabina Place!" He said and started running. He gripped his Zashi-Sakura, and charged through the sand. A group a wolves were waiting, as if they expected him to come. Sasume had a smirk on his face.

"OUTTA THE WAY, PUPPIES!!" He said as he ran toward one of the wolfs and the wolf charged at Sasume also. The wolf jumped into the air, Sasume slid under the wolf, holding blade, therefore cutting the wolf in half. The wolf's insides went everywhere, the other wolves stared, horrified by the sight. Sasume stared at the wolves, "Oh! Don't give me that look!" He shouted. One of the wolfs charged at him again, and with a couple swipes of his sword, peices of the wolf flew into the air. He looked at the rest of the wolves, who were terrified. "Oh. C'mon! DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE SCARED!!!" He shouted and broke into laughter.


Two more wolves ran at him, he stabbed one in the head and kicked the other in air. He decapitated the wolf while it was in the air, Its head and body came crashing down to the ground. The rest of the wolves started running way. "Wow...little pansies..." Sasume said as he put his blade back into the cain, and continued running.

Vash continued her treck

Running through the Estersand she comes upon a Wild Saurian.

"Oh come on.."

It turns its head and roars at her, and goes on to charge towards her. Seeing the danger, her eyes shift from blue to red and she draws her sword. As it approaches her she rolls to the side to avoid being bitten and slashes one of its legs. It falls to the ground and flails, so she walks over to its neck and stabs her sword into its jugular, killing it nearly instantly.

"I wish I didn't have to do that, but to survive I must."

She takes her blade and carves out a part of the carcass to take back to Rabanastre.
